Newton's Hi Quality Meats Ltd. has been in operation since 1972. Peter, trained in Germany, opened his first store in the Vancouver area. In 1972 he formed Newton's Hi Quality Meats Ltd. Mike Scholz joined the firm in 1980 and together they made Newton's Hi Quality Meats a leader in the supply and distribution of meats in British Columbia.

Mike Scholz continues to provide his input as Newton's Hi Quality Meats grows and prospers under the proprietorship of Peter and Merle Steinfeld.
